Install AFR bung with headers on car

That pretty much says it. I'd rather leave the stock headers on and not risk a stripped / broken exhaust stud. The engine is coming out sometime soon and I'd rather have at the headers with the engine on a stand and my full arsenal at the ready.
Thx.

Can be performed by a competent muffler shop. Be aware they may not be up to speed on correct location and placement. That's ultimately up to you to provide that direction. Google. Is your friend. So are most threads on the subject here. Don't think there's any dispute as to proper placement.

I had one welded on an SSI with the motor in the car on a lift. might be easier to drive it to a muffler shop prior to removing the motor instead of trying to find a mobile welder once the motor is on the stand.

if the motor is on a stand getting the HE's off is significantly easier. the HE's in place make a great steady base for the motor to set on when out of the car.

I'll be doing the welding - I've got both TIG and gas torches. Done lots of it.
Many thanks - seems to be pretty straight forward - will put it on the passenger side header @ 3:00.
Engine out will be in the winter for other maintenance (clutch, CIS, etc)
Thx.

Uh, try between 10 and 3 0'clock. Where did you find the recommendation for 3 o'clock?

Sensor should point downwards so as not to accumulate condensation.

it can not be at too steep on an angle as it will interfere with valve cover removal. ive also found the driver's side to be more desirable as running the line to the tunnel is significantly less crowded than the pass side where all the oil tank & lines are.

Good advice all thanks. Sorry the old dyslexia kicked in - pointing downward without interfering with valve covers, etc, not 3:00.

Sensor bung info from Motec

I have faith in this publication for the Bosch LSU 4.9 which we use in all of our builds.
