*IMPORTANT* Packages for Leland
I want to make sure that anyone who does this sends it correctly:
You MUST send packages via Priority mail, and they should be less than a pound. Priority mail is the only way to get packages to an FPO or APO. You will have to fill out a customs form. Thanks! ------------------ Josh '84 Carrera Coupe |

Whoops...I shipped first class. Postal clerk here said nothing about priority. He did ask me to fill out the customs form, and I'm praying it was under a pound. You think it will be returned to me if rejected? If so, I can split the contents, mail TWO under a pound each package. Thanks for the tips..
Noticed the earlier string...Leland says NO BOOZE, guys... ![]() |

Yeah no booze. A guy that worked for me (In AF) decided to get some booze when he was doing his thing during Desert Shield (Before the Storm). Got busted for it and got what's called Non Judicial Punishment (Article 15). Killed all further promotion chances. I'm sure he and Al Bundy are selling shoes somewhere!

Maybe we should let each other know what were sending. I was gonna send some mags as well but if Saffs is sending them, I'll send something else. No need for him to get 15 copies of excellence and 911 and porsche world. Just a thought.

Just sent Leland the Sept or Oct 911 and Porsche World from England. Tried to send a Pano and other but was too heavy.
My post office said that there was no limitation on weight or its having to be sent priority. Sent an email to Leland to confirm this and will stay under 1 pound until I hear back from him. Joe |

I asked the choker setter (pwd72s's name for my wife) to make me one 14 oz. cookie that kinda looks like an SC. We will see what she comes up with but it might be good, I know the cookie will be great I was refering to the art work. Need to find Lee's gallery shot and make the frosting the correct color.

Joe, I was just told that it in fact does not have to go priority. If it doeen't it is just very slow.
And yes, right now there is a 13 oz. limit to mail but if its close it should be ok. thanks joe, Lee -----Original Message----- From: Joe Abrahamson [mailto:JoeKSA@compuserve.com] Sent: Saturday, October 27, 2001 12:04 AM To: Leland Pate Subject: magazines Leland, One magazine is on its way to you. I tried to send several but one poster on the Pelican parts site said that you were limited to one pound max on any mail sent to the APO and two magazines were 20 ounces, 4 Oz over the limit. When I was there we did not have a one pound limit but the TDY people did have a weight limitation. Can you confirm a one pound limit on mail? Also, a posting on Pelican said that everything must be mailed "priority mail" or it would not be accepted. My post office says that this is not correct and that anything sent normal mail will just take longer to make it to the NY APO, then sent via military plane to you. Can you pls confirm that the mail must be sent priority? Take care and hope you enjoy the stuff... stay safe and be careful, that is after dusting those *********s while on their way to see Allah! Joe,
See a posting I made a few days ago: http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/014509.html Just so we don't send him all the same things. ![]() Also, Leland said in an email to me that it had to be under one pound. ------------------ '75 911S Targa '81 BMW Alpina C1 2.3 [This message has been edited by Saffs (edited 10-27-2001).] |
