Front hub resto

Hi All!
I am restoring a -71 911T and are currently looking on what to do with the aluminium front hubs to make them last.

1) Powdercoat
2) Anodize
3) Clear coat
4) Leave as is
5) Other

Thanks for any input.

We vapor blast a lot of aluminum parts. It smooths the surface without removing metal. Sort of like ball burnishing. Stays much cleaner and better looking than glass bead blasting.

Aluminum has an open pores feel to it after it has been blasted by glass or that type of media. So after you clean it. Take a scowling pad and rub it with that and PB Blaster. It seals the surface making it harder for it to stain or soak up oils/water etc.

Should I let the old bearing races be in the hub while blasting? I'm thinking to protect the surface.
