Tire Size help please?

Gentleman and Ladies,

I have some rubber on a set of Ruf wheels that I would like to put on my Euromeister Fake Fuchs while I get the Ruf's refinished.

Ruf's

R - 255/40/17
F - 235/40/17

Euromeisters:

R - 265/40/17
F - 225/40/17

Can I put the Ruf rubber on the Fuchs wheels and what will the implications be to the
car/size of the wheel?

Oh, I have a factory M491 wide-body if that helps. I have some wheel rub in the front with the current sizes on the Fuchs (at lock).

Thanks,

Scott

Fit depends on the width and ET of the wheels
235/40 x17 wants a wheel 8 to 9.5" wide these all fit you car if the ET is corrrect
255/40 x17 wants a wheel 8.5 to 10" wide, again these fit when the ET is right

225/40 x17 are generally track only sizes, usually it's 225/45 x17 which want 7 to 8.5" wheel, fit still depends on ET
265/40 x17 want 9 to 10" wheel fit depends on ET

if the ETs are correct and your widths are w/i the overlap spec you will be fine
