should i buy it?

i have the line on a 73 911S engine, the owner says that the engine has 40k miles on a rebuild, the engine is out of the car. He wants 2k for the engine, my intentions should i buy the engine is to put it into my 70E (which needs an engine rebuild) this is a straightforward swap right? And shoudl i buy the engine?

what size is it a 2.7 mfi ? if you don't want it I might be interested I have one here in Canada that I will buy this spring but it's a lot more cash than 2 k

It would be a 2.4 MFI.

I would do a leak down on it. At least then you can tell if there is any glaring problems.

I think dtw would have a lead for a shop that can run that engine, If not bob (or bill, I'll have to look it up) gordon here in greensboro might have a place.
