911 sun visors
anyone know where to get a set of reproduction mid 70's 911 sun visors for a Targa as the ones I bought were too big and too stiff where they almost hit you in the forehead!

911 sun visors
Sam,
I found an outfit that will rebuild your originals. They said they can even crease them to wrap upward like ones sold at an exuberant price. I need this done as well and will post the contact info when I locate it unless you want to go another route. Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'm interested in the name of the visor re-build place also. I also bought a set of repros that don't fit well.

Vinyl Specialties --- Interior Auto Sunvisors will rebuild yours for you. They did mine - look great. Only downside is they can't put the mirror in on the passenger side.

I just received mine (82 SC) back from Vinyl Specialties and they look nice but found when I went to install them yesterday that they no longer fit, a bit too much material used on both visors has buggered up the fit where they click into the center clips (interfering with headliner).
I have a call into Darren (owner/operator); hopefully he resolves quickly/properly. I will update this thread, but wouldn't want any of you to have the same problem. John in CT |

Vinyl Specialties did mine. They fit good and look good. If you are a concourse perfectionist you will hate them.

About three years ago I got a pair of sun visors for my 81 SC from a German company I found on eBay. If I recall they were about half of the price of new ones I found from vendors from here. I have been very happy with them and I imagine with the exchange rate being more favorable than it was then, they should be even more reasonable today.

Anyone care to post costs for the work ? I imagine its going to be the same for everyone so its not like its personal information ![]()

Vinyl Specialties looks like a good place to have them reconditioned. I think I will send my originals into them!
Thanks, Sam |

I shipped mine back to Darren at Vinyl Specialties today, with taped lines to show why and where they don't fit. Hopefully he sorts them out. BTW, you asked about cost: $80 plus $16 shipping is what he charged me. John

John in CT a few years ago I had a problem with a vendor and made a similar post to yours, which you flamed me for doing (i.e. Posting about a problem before the vendor had a chance to fix the problem was, in your view, poor taste.)
Don't want to start a flame war, just thought I'd remind you of that. Cheers! |

For those that have done it, what does Vinyl Specialties charge to redo a pair of visors?
