reupholster SC interior question

I've used the search option on here but, have not quite found an answer.

Is it possible to reupholster all the interior pieces (not including the seats) in an SC with leather?

Are there pieces where the leather can't be stretched, to get a contoured fit, like you would be able to get with vinyl?

So its mainly dash, knee pads, doors and rear quarters.

If anyone has actually done it themselves, I'd love to know.

I have not done it myself, but Porsche will sell you a new 911 with even the air vents wrapped in leather if you want, and on that basis I'm willing to bet a good upholsterer can wrap anything in leather.

thanks guys! Im familiar with classic9s work. Its great stuff.

I decided with this project that i wanted to try to do as much as I can, myself, if possible.

So if anyone has any insight for my original post, let me know.

I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine, as I have been experience sewing different materials for different project since I was a kid. Looks like classic9 gets by without stitching for all the pieces I mentioned in my original post. I just wanted to know if anyone has had experience wrapping these pieces in leather themselves.

I have done some parts...it is not that bad. In some cases I was able to strip off the old cover due to age of the glue. Before doing so I made note of where I wanted extra material to be. I used the old piece as a template knowing it had shrunk a bit, I cut conservatively and left extra. I used strong adhesive (weldwood contact cement) and went at it slowly applying the adhesive logically from one edge of the part, let it set up or dry and then worked to the other edges. Rewarding work.

Use a very sharp pair of cutters for clean cuts and a fresh set of exacto blades. Have fun.

I currently have the entire rear of my car out to redye the leather and it is all leather, every piece. Already did the front (front seats, door panels) Do you need pics to see how they cut the pieces and glued them on? How they stapled pieces etc. I am doing the contrasting brown leather pieces right now including the knee pads. Pretty amazing and they are in outstanding condition after all these years.
