SMD headlights

Has anyone tried the "Platinum SMD 6V/12V Series, Phosphor based SMD Headlights for 6V and 12V vehicles with traditional 7" round headlights" (as sold by Pelican)? It looks like Stoddard sells something similar (if not identical)

I put H-4s on my car ('73 911) a number of years ago and I did not add relays. I rarely drive the car at night and the lights are intermittent. Often I have high beams but no low beams. I'm thinking the contacts on my switch are deteriorating.

I'm considering changing over to these new, low current lights and was hoping somone else had tried them.
