Hello all. If I turn the key to the on position, the fuel pump runs constantly, even though never starting it. Is this normal? The car is a 1974 911 2.7
Also, the wipers dont "park" when the switch is turned off? sorry for all the piddly questions, but this is the oldest 911 that I have owned. I have had for a whole day! Thanks again, Chris |

On CIS Cars, the fuel pump should only run if either the key is in the "start" position or with the key in the "on" position if the sensor plate is raised, by air being drawn into the running engine.
Someone else probably has a better idea of how to troubleshoot this, but my guess would be the switch on the sensor plate. Tom ------------------ 82 911SC Coupe |

re: wipers not parking; I've got the same problem. Search (above) the pelican bb for a thread called "windshield wiper problem". John Walker's workshop gave some key info on repairing it. Check it out, he knows what he's talking about. Seems like an easy fix.
