Calling all tool kit experts
 

I've been replating early tools for a while now using a special process and clear cadmium. Many tools were done in clear zinc which has too much of a blue tint these days. The cadmium is too silver as compared to original but most think it looks better than blue.

Other tools were clearly chrome plated and I think others may have been nickel plated.

Does anyone have an authoritative breakdown on exactly which tools were originally zinc, chrome and nickel plated?

Haven't checked to see if you've posted this over on earlyS but Allen Henderson over there is very knowledgeable on tool kits.
