As for your car.... I see a mix of Torsion bars (which imho, might be too small.. Heck, I ran 22's on my SC! Spring rates would be good to know, and were the shocks revalved to match the tb/springs? How big are the sway bars? What brand tires?

My car has Big reds front and rear, it brakes amazing, just as good as new cars, probably mostly due to my 450+ lbs weight savings. Also no nannies what so ever with manual brakes and steering. I've had laps in 991 gt3's and only been impressed by corner speeds, acceleration and braking didn't get my attention.

The sway bars are weltermeister, i'm not sure if they had much for size options back in the day. They seem to be about 3/4" diameter, but i'll try to measure soon and also get coil sprint rates.

Chris. I'm driving an 86 911 Red with turbo twists and my name is on the car. Usually parked in the same general are as you, but I don't think we've met.
Loosen up your sways and lean how to adjust them before the track day so you can make adjustments at the track if needed.
I'd adjust them at the track where you have gone to far, and then dial them back. Your car should understeer. Aim for the apex and let the car understeer so you just clip it.
Maybe you are overthinking it and it's just the sways or tires.
Or maybe you are not as good of a driver as you think you are. :D

Hi Rod, I'll come introduce myself! And I certainly don't think i'm a great driver, i'd like to be, but so far i'm just good enough to get into the Black run group but i'm the greenest black at this point. :D

I'll bring tools for adjusting my sway bars, its pretty simple.
