Bilstein insert stuck in boge strut. What now?

So been trying to remove this bilstein sport insert from the boge strut and doesn't want to come out. Do I need to do anything with the green seal there? Otherwise at a bit of a loss. I thought it was supposed to slide right out. Any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Eugene

And it's out. Hit it from the ball joint hole at the bottom of strut with a screw driver/hammer. Two taps and it came out
