How do I remove my cruise control cable??

I took the 3 screws off the back left vacuum diaphragm... but the cover doesn't come loose/off.... as it shows on Bentley manual page 101-5.

Give it a tap around the edges with a suitable tool
it will come loose, i did mine a year ago , used a piano wire
from local tuner, worked well.

I used couple of these, the smallest ,available most parts outlets

Thanks all... I got it... it was that I needed to give the wire some slack.

Once I did that, I was able to take it out.. per Bentley manual
