After hassles and time its back...

So.... being the 911 junky I am I couldn't pass on the opportunity to scoop up another air cooled 911 when I had the chance. So way back in Jan of this year I bought this 88 coupe. It had about 63k on it. The bones were all good it just needed some refreshing and some elbow grease.

Special thanks to my friend Marc Koenig at Passion Driven who did most of the heavy lifting.

Time is a commodity I have the least of and Marc took time out from building his spectacular RSR creation to do the bigger jobs for me.

Refreshed the suspension
Went through the motor, seals, return tubes, anything that could leak was addressed, valve covers and gaskets, etc etc. Fresh plugs.
Euromeister 17's
Bled and changed hydraulics
Fresh front and rear hood shocks
Powder coated the fan and shroud
New sound pad
cleaned the engine
fixed sunroof
replaced clock
replaced signal / brights switch
removed 1980's radar detector
Replaced lots of little trim parts and items
Both door switches
lots of bulbs.

You get the idea.

The car had been garaged and used occasionally over the last 20 years. The owner would have the oil changed regularly and the minimum done but just wasn't a hard core Porsche guy. The paint was very oxidized, the rubber was a bit dry, the interior needed a really good cleaning.

I am pretty happy with the results!!!!

Is that the paint just cleaned up? Looks like a good result.

those 17s look really good. Can you give me more info on the tire sizes and rim sizes?
I'm thinking maybe I should go to 17s
