SC to RSR Project contimues....Some suspension work

Made a lot of progress in a number of areas this week.

Shell is prepped and ready for the mock up.

I have gone into painstaking detail on every area of this build.

The initial plan, the acquisition of parts, the work. Every last detail has been planned to the last detail. I know there will be challenges along the way but things are coming together well so far.

Here are a few more pics working on the suspension mock up.... I am interested in comments.

Thanks

Congratulations, lots of devotion to get to the steps seen in these pictures. Are you doing a centre oil cooler?

Looks very nice! Whose struts are you using?

Can't tell from the pictures: Do you have shock tower reinforcement welded in to support the rear coil-overs?

I'm using Bilstein struts and shocks. Yes I have reinforced the rear shock towers. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1506438236.PNG

Thank you! No I'm not using a center oil cooler. I'm using a well fanned Carrera style fender oil cooler. I'm using an S style bumper for a cleaner look.

I have a dumb question....
When you go to coilover... what do you do about the torsion tube hole?

I guess it's safe to assume you're referring to the front? If so I like to use rubber expandable freeze plugs. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1506452531.PNG
They will seal the hole so they won't fill up with dirt/water.

Are you running 15's with the rsr front struts? Any chance that you can measure the spindle drop on these yellow Bilsteins? I have read they are 12mm "raised" over stock in contrast to to the old version green rsr struts that were 11mm. I can't find the information anywhere!

Don't forget to post more pictures as your car comes together.

No, I'll be using 17" wheels. Yes, you are correct it is a 12mm difference from stock. I will absolutely post more pictures as I go. Thank you.
