Porsche Classic Euro Plate Question
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know from experience if the Porsche Euro Plate (see below) is meant to be installed on the Porsche Classic Euro Plate holder? Or at the very least, will it properly install on that plate holder... The dealership is not able to answer this question for me. Thanks in advance, Humberto https://www.*************.com/product/SKUCLPLATE.html https://www.*************.com/product/SKUCLPB.html Last edited by hcalvani; 09-27-2017 at 05:00 PM.. |

The long rectangle Euro plates usually have no holes. Those holders have multiple holes to line up to your vehicle mounting points.
The license plate, and it appears the model vanity plate in the photo, sit in the holder underneath some tabs. The bottom part of the holder that has the logo or dealer name comes off to allow the plate to be slid in and it holds the entire thing together. The bottom part is almost the entire length of the holder and is thicker to grasp onto both sides of the holder. Once you have the plate in the holder you just snap the bottom part back in place. Hard to tell if those are the same size but it is likely. I've dealt with that vendor and have had a great experience with them every time. My belief is that they would allow returns, just ask. I had these on my cars when living in Germany. Dealers hand them out gratis (unlike here).

They will fit. I just looked at both on the website. Both are listed at 520mm x 110mm.
From the site on the Logo Plate: "must use a Euro plate bracket to hold this style plate." The Euro plate bracket is the black holder.

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the feedback. I read the info on the listing description, but I think the bracket the listling refers is the one on the photo below, not the frame plate - hence my initial question. Humberto- ![]() |

You want the frame from the original photo you posted. That one is the same size as the plate. It is called 'classic euro plate holder'.
I found it on their website under exterior accessories. When I clicked on that plate holder, the 'vanity' plate came up as a suggested item. The last photo you posted looks like just a regular US size license plate mount.

Hi Folks,
No, the photo of the bracket that I just uploaded is labaled as: PORSCHE LICENSE PLATE BRACKET - FRONT EURO PART NO: 91170112103 So, I am assuming that both the Plate holder and logo Plate need to be attached to this bracket. Do you agree? Thanks, Humberto- |

I have the Euro plate holder attached via the USA bracket. Works fine. Plenty of holes in the Euro plate holder. Worked fine the three years I lived in Stuttgart. I didn't get the Euro bracket.

The entire point of the holder is to not add or put holes in the license plate and serve as a mount to the body OR the mount you showed above.
