Glovebox lock repair

My glovebox lock is iffy at best. After a year of ownership I finally pulled the lock out today and took it to local locksmith. He had no idea what to do with it but he did discover that he could get it to work if the key was partially pulled out and wiggled.

Anyone know of a place I can send this with my current key to have it fixed? I'd rather not go through rekeying if it can be helped.

Try another locksmith. These locks are unique, but shouldn't baffle a locksmith, IMO.

I replaced my glovebox lock with a VW lock, since mine was unrepairable.

Good idea, unfortunately we have little to choose from. I'd prefer to just send it to an expert.
