Post '83 911SC cruise vacuum help...please!

Friends,

Having trouble getting cruise control to operate....wondering why larger of two vacuum hoses on servo was just hanging into the sheetmetal between the shocktowers? Where does this hose connect to? In the manuals it shows a t-connection off of the AAR. This is totally different than my car.
Please help...I don't have much hair left!

Thanks in Advance!!

If I recall correctly, the larger of the two runs from the cruise unit across and connects to a steel line near the right shock tower that goes to God knows where.(you probably already knew this.) It is the smaller hose that makes a "T" connection with a short hose going to the back of the throttle body and to the AAR. The smaller hose I am sure about.

Hope this helps a little.
Nick.

Nick,

Thanks for the input! The smaller hose is the one I am also sure about...should have made that more clear. I will look for the steel line for the larger hose you spoke of. The thing that puzzles me is that if it is disconnected, why is there no symptom of a gross vacuum leak? (The idle air adj screw is not all the way in and the car runs great).

My advice is to screw it and rip it out!

This is a sports car not a Buick.
