Camshaft carrier replacement
A question for the brain trust.
![]() I am planning to replace the oil line to camshaft carrier on the passager side part #930-107-348-12. Of course the Porsche Genuine parts unit cost more. Will purchasing this unit deliver a better quality part. Also I notice this unit lacks the nut and ferrule. Can I use the nut and ferrule from existing unit I am replacing? Thanks in advance. |

Ok, I just received mine. I chose the OE part. 930.107.347.05. Here is a picture. I was surprised that it was silver zinc, instead of the gold original. It does have the nut and ferule as part of the assembly.

Surprisingly, the as per the katalog, the nut and ferrule are separate part numbers. The nut could be reused but certainly not the ferule, it crushes onto the line when tightened. Ferule part number is N 020 825 1

Mine came with the ferrule and nut assembled. I edited my post.
