I sent a few mails around to some shops near LA, and found I liked the response form Philip Chan of Aerowerkz the best.
AeroWerkZ - Home "We only use the best material on the market such as Avery Dennison, 3M etc. The price also comes with a labor and material warranty. We detail and clay bar the whole car before we wrap it, then take bumpers, lights, handles, trims, mirrors or antenna off the car to clean and wrap to make sure it looks like paint. If you supply your own vinyl, the cost would come out to be the same because we base our prices off of wholesale vinyl pricing." |

There is a place near the eltoro Y .
In the same street as lamps plus etc that you see on the right traveling 5 south towards Laguna Hills/mission viejo (my area) I’ve walked past and glanced a couple of things parked out front that looked good . I’ll be going to harbour freight later , so I’ll try to slow down as I drive by and get you a name . |

Are you referring to Gatorwraps on Avenida De La Carlota?

Also interested in potentially wrapping my car in the SoCal area. How much does this cost? Last time I sniffed around for estimates, it was around $2500---is that around what this costs out the door?

I was told $2k for a 3rd gen Tacoma. An old 911 would be less due to the surface area, but maybe more due to the nooks and crannies (rain gutter, trim bits, bumper/valence, spoiler)...

Jim , yes I am !!
Such an easy to remember name as well ... I first noticed a green semi that they did . And have often had a look when driving home on the 5 . Then one day a few weeks ago , I forgot to put gas in my car . And I had also forgotten to charge my iPhone ... Luckily , I hadn’t forgot my wallet that day , so I ended up jumping the wall to get off the 5 and walking that street all the way up to eltoro road to buy a gas can and a gallon of fuel . That is when I got to see some of there work up close , as a few customer vehicles where parked out front presumably waiting for collection . I would have liked to have stopped for a closer look , but after walking miles in the sun I was in no mood to ....
