About how many quarts in a 72 2.4 Sump?
 

I've only drained the sump and curious what I need to replace it with.

guess how much drained and start from there. to many variables.

I have got a carrera cooler up front, so my total oil system is probably about 12 quarts. However, this past fall, I did an oil change and put 10 quarts in and made a mess everywhere (blew out the oil from breather at the front of the engine) and my oil cooler developed a major split. So I would suggest on oil changes, use 8 quarts and top off once things are warmed up. Oh the tank probably holds about gallon. HTH
