It lives!!! (sort of) Twin plugged 3.6 beast...
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but the constant delays with this project have left me with a bad case of the 911 blues. I usually visit the shop on Thursdays to see how little has been done. I call these days "Prozac Thursday". Today I had a nice surprise.
This is a poor video of my new '97 Varioram getting it's first spark in my SC. No exhaust yet. The motor came from Harald Ulicher's personal C4S. I appear to have even LESS room for an exhaust solution with my IROC rear bumper than most. I don't seem to have any problems with WOT, although my setup is the same as Thom and Todd had originally. I know it's not much of a video- shot with my digital still camera, but when that motor turned over I was so darn excited. Guess you had to be there. http://home.pacbell.net/lollar1/119-1915_MVI.AVI

Well I wasn't there but I'm still excited. Maybe because it was October when I last drove a 911. Congrats on the progress!

Buy them, sell them

I don't have the bandwith, here at work, to watch that video, but it's great to see so many 3.6 conversions and their updates. I have cable at home, so I'll watch it then.
When are you likely to be able to enjoy it?

P.S. What is Harold going to do with a 993 C4S (a truly beautiful car) that has no motor? Was it in a wreck or something?

Great news Moses! I guess the waiting will be worth it. Hopefully I won't be to far behind. I know how you must feel. My cars been down for 11 days and I feel the need for Prozac. Good thing there's beer.
I couldn't see the video but it sounds nice. Is that with only the 993 heat exchangers? Have you worked out the exhaust issue? We need some pics! Curtise, a 3.8RS? Damn you da man. . . or maybe the longhood brotherhood are starting to feel the heat from the SCWDP. ![]()

3.8 RSR
Zamirz...I got tired of looking at the motor, so I bought it !!
Chuck..you know Tom G. His car has been sitting over at Performance for about 6 months. He's seriously wants to sell everything. Dave B and I ran in to him at pomona 3 weeks ago. He asked if someone would be interested in the X-tra 3.8RSR sitting on the stand so, it was too good to pass up. I just found a stock 3.8 RSR Cup injection, DME etc and I'm just waiting to "plug and play"... |

Long block...
Mikez....much less than the asking price. I already have a 3.6 transplant in the RS "backdate" ( which I have already sold). This 3.8 should be a hoot to drive up-down Colorado Blvd chasing that "Lil 'ol Lady" in her 426 Hemi....
