Differences between the 1974 U.S. 911 and 1974 U.S. 911S
I'm under the assumption the main differences between the standard U.S. '74 911 and the U.S. '74 911S is the .5 bump in engine compression and aluminum brake calipers. Are there any other differences, such as suspension, etc. between the two cars?
Thanks for your help.

Cams and Head Porting to name two that make a difference.
I guess the "Normal" 911 had 30 (Smaller then a 2.0T!) or 32 mm intake ports and 32 or 33 mm exhaust ports. The S had 35 mm intake and exhaust ports which can flow enough to allow up to about 200 +/- HP if enough other changes are made in the engine. I don't have any details regarding the differences in the cams. If you can get your hands on a Spec Book, it will spell out all of the mechanical changes.
