Spark Plug connector

Dear Friends,

I have this 3.6 from a 1990 964 and the spark Plug connector on cylinder #1 exhaust side is damaged.

This cable is kindda expensive around U$120,00, but I notice that the spark plug connector itself is cheap around U$20,00

Question is:

It´s possible to change only the connector on this cable? I´m asking this because I was looking the cable closeli the other day and did not find a way to disassemble the connector from the cable

the last picture is just the way the connector is sold

Is there maybe some trick or a way to do it?

thanks for the help

Can't you simply buy a new connector and 1mt of magnecor plug wire?
Anyway you can re weld ii if it is broken and reinsolate with a piece of good shrinkable insulator... Just measure, first cable impedence, and check after welding... It must be the same.

The copper piece in your pic is threaded and unscrews from the plug connector.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508719076.JPG
