Replace dash brake light

All,
Before I dive in I thought I'd check with you. Is it straight forward replacing the brake light on the dash? Mine went out and I need to replace and wasn't sure it I just pop it out and replace the bulb or do I need to go in from behind the dash to replace it?

Car is 43 years old and want to make sure I do it right.
