4.0 N/A 500hp 9000rpm Mezger by Williams F1

Williams F1

I need this!!!! and a winning lottery ticket

Beginning with the Mezger-designed Porsche 3.6L engine from the 1990 911, the resulting specification is as follows:

500HP
Four-valve cylinder heads
Engine speed range extended beyond 9,000 rpm
Dual-oil circuits
Cylinders and pistons with titanium con-rods
Aluminium throttle bodies with carbon fibre trumpets
Upper and lower injectors for improved performance
A carbon fibre air-box with active multi-stage resonator chamber for mid-range torque optimization
Inconel and titanium exhaust system optimized for thermal performance
CFD optimized and enlarged engine cooling fan
Ram air induction system with pressure recovery in intake plenums
Lightweight materials, including titanium, magnesium and carbon fibre are used extensively to reduce component mass and vehicle weight.

As ever, Singer’s work is motivated by the desire to understand the perspectives and requirements of its clients and to present them uniquely personal restoration and modification services - always guided by the philosophy: Everything is Important.

What's up with the exhaust? Where's the muffler? Looks like it's...surrounded in muffler? Could really use one of those...

Looks like these images are just CGI renderings:

Singer and Williams Are Wildly Modifying a Porsche Flat-Six

Sure fooled me. I guess they'll reveal the car it's going in in September?

That intake system seems like a mighty complicated piece to pull off in a regular chassis. I wonder if this is also a preview of something else..?

Four valves? Perhaps it is liquid cooled?

Not sure how they keep it cool.

I think the 935 had liquid cooled heads?

I am by no means an expert - I think that there are cooling issues with four valves and air cooling. Probably more than what a large fan could do?

Yeah look at how much work went into the fan housing and sealing everything. I wonder if they are able to make it work with very careful design? Maybe modern oils help some how?
