Pics of front of trunk - per PM request (1976 model)

Per a PM request, here are some pics of the front of the trunk of my 1976 NA 911S. I can get others/more if needed. I see I kind of missed the center area. I can also remove the jack and take pics of needed.

Are you missing the body bracket for the jack base?

I do not know. Am I? This end of the car has not been causing any problems, so I have been ignoring it. What does this bracket look like and where should it be? Any pics or other info?

Thanks

Following up on this thread...

Could anyone let me know how is the tire jack secured in place when in it's resting position on 74-77 cars.

From 1978 the situation is quite clear and easy:
One end of the jack sits on the center bracket and uses a rubber strap with metal clips on on the top and bottom of the bracket which secure it in place and on the other end there is a solid "seat" bracket in the right corner holding the other of of the jack.

Situation with earlier cars 1974 - 1977 is not that simple or well documented.

Anyone able/willing to help?

Kind Regards
Marcin

My camera's battery needs to be recharged, so no pics for now.

My car came to me with the jack on TOP of the brackets as shown in the first pics. Looking further, I do have the bracket for the jack base as shown in both the red and white cars above, but it is quite low so the jack would need to mounted below the brackets, as shown in the white car. But...I am not sure there is enough space there. The headlight washer system and especially the spare tire (not full sized) look like they may prevent the jack from fitting below the brackets. I also do not have anything like the rubber straps the white car has.

I will try and get some pics late Friday. Let me know if there is anything specific.

Actually Ray's car is stock and this is exactly what I needed.
Believe it or not but those two pictures Ray has just taken a extremely hard to find.
I made my meassurements and everyting including headlight washer pump fits perfectly in this setup.

Porsche did a poor job when digitalizing documentation for PET in this case and they also no longer offer the central supporting bracket in it's original shape and form. Instead under part number 911.501.383.40 GRV they sell both brackets central and right corner in the shape of the right corner successfully causing confusion as to how the jack is suppose to be mounted.

So after receiving great help from You guys I got to the point where the only way to go is buying the bracket from Porsche and extending it to enable jack mount according to the shape from photo documentation but it's a piece of cake with these pics.

ffwd a couple of years later and I was looking for the same pictures!! thanks aus911. now I kow how the jack fits in my 1974 911.

I also did some research and ordered the following 2 parts
○ 911.722.021.01 rubber strap (Porsche calls this a bracket)
○ 911.721.131.01 rubber wedge (Porsche calls this a clamping piece)

...they are obviously overpriced but at least I will know that they will fit the way they are supposed to.

QUESTION: anyone knows what the 2 top brackets are used for? circled in red on my picture.

I thought the top two brackets hold the tool kit in. That is where I keep mine when I have the jack and spare in.
