Thinking of going back to more stock interior
I currently have no rear seats and Recaro PP in the front. I love the seats and the purpose look interior (also Prototipo wheel, Wevo tall shifter, rsa door cards, etc.), but I now have 3 kids and 1 empty seat. Not sure if this is a good idea or not. Would try to get sport seats, but they are spendy and not easy to find. My car sits too much these days (doesn’t help that I work out of town and don’t go far when I am home).

My suggestion is to do what will put you in the seat more.
I thought about installing heated/vented seats from a new model...Wound up just buying a stock set to replace my race buckets. It only wound up costing me a few hundred bucks after recouping the cost by selling the Recaros. |

Get a set of Recaro LS seats. The are essentially sport seats with a separate head rest.

Might be a moot point, as they won't fit in the back seats for long anyway

Keep using the car enough that the gas in the tank stays fresh while you think about this.

Recaro Specialist S
Todd,
I didn't post this on the board, but this spring I replaced my fixed back Sparco racing seats with a set of all leather Recaro Specialist S seats. The Recaro's were rather expensive, but hey - its a lifetime buy, and they were still in the price range of a decent condition set of original sport seats (which is what I was obsessing over for the past 3-4 years). I drive my car daily to and from work (~20 miles to) and as much as possible on the weekends - getting in and out of the race buckets was getting old, and driving on bumpy, potholed roads was grinding. The Recaro's made me want to drive the car more often. The ride is much more comfortable with the new seats (my suspension isn't as unforgiving as I thought). Also, since I've added the seats and toned down the exhaust note (B&B to SSI w/Dansk) my wife enjoys riding in the car more (i.e. weekend trips to craft breweries…). I've put ~ 3,500 miles on the car so far since I installed them this spring. Good luck - it's a tough decision and considerable investment (good, comfortable all purpose seats), but worth it for the increased driving and driving pleasure I've enjoyed since I made the move. As an option, you can hang onto the PP's and swap back if you want them for DE's etc. - it's a pretty quick swap (I still have my Sparco's). If you would like, I will snap a few photo's and post. All good points above (including the moot point :-) ). Thanks all! Still not sure what I'm going to do. Going to try and take it out this weekend though as it's been about 2 weeks. The other change I'm thinking (again due to the car sitting) is switching from PMO carbs to a Rasant EFI, but haven't figured out how to convince my wife it makes sense :-).
