Painting 1979 Fuchs Inside - keep original or not bother?

I have this 1979 Set of 16 Fuchs.
After heavy scrubbing their inside revealed the original blank aloy.

I've got them ready for painting (see here). I will also mask the lug nut holes as well as the thin edge to the hubcap.

But I am wondering if I rather mask that inner blank area as well to keep it original?

Or not bother.

I ask, because at times I'm a detail-loving type of guy

Those look real nice. The inside is anodized, so they are protected. No reason, IMO, to paint the inside of the pedals.

Checkout this Fuchs paint/tape method. Will reduce tedious masking. Starts on page 10.
Good luck.

Economy RSR Fuchs finish ???

nice. but this works only for RSR finish.

further it does not work for the 6x16 rims as their recess is lower and water would flow over.

greatest plus about tape-masking: you can handle the rim without hazard
