help ID 2.0L aluminum pressure plate

once upon a time one could pick up the phone, call Sachs tech. support, ask them to run the old part number & get application specs.
no more.
I sent an email off about a week ago & they are either still laughing or don't have a clue.
so...
the piece is identical to a stock 2.0L pressure plate in every respect except the foot is ALU vs. cast iron.
any help appreciated.
TIA

By foot you mean the contact surface, correct? At least the older aluminum ones like for 911S had a copper facing fused onto the aluminum.

And the cover is not aluminum?

I thought I did try a Google search & didn't come up w/ much... at least not the first time around.
there seems to be some speculation that '67 & '68 S models got the copper plated type & '69 S models got this one.
time to resurrect that thread on EarlyS.
...and yes, the rest of the unit is steel.

Interesting. The Early S registry thread suggests that you have a 69S clutch (superseded part number), which has an aluminum foot with sprayed on iron face. And uses a different thickness disk than the earlier clutch.

Arrow early S pressure plates

interesting - i still have one of these on the shelf - not copper faced - slightly used in my 914-6 behind a 2.8 for a few races with a KEP "hockey-puck" style carbon-kevlar disc

( i found that the "stock" 911S "performance" discs & PPs were not up to track abuse)

the paper tag is long gone but my notes show it to be 901.116.009.00; it is stamped Fichtel & Sachs AG Schweinfurt; - it weighs about 6.4 lbs

- inside on 5 of the fingers it is stamped 102 - 103 - F&S - 8 - 79 which may be a manufacture date?

my car in Germany in 1974 was fitted with a 2.4S & copper-faced PP "foot", but it appeared to be naught more than thin plating - and subject to wearing off - so i replaced it with the one noted above, from a source i no longer recall when i built the 2.8 in 1977

i'd guess the market for these "S" alloy PPs is quite small except for 914 guys who want to race (not likely many early S cars are so abused now)

i've since i upgraded to a 3.2
