My Pelican SSIs just arrived, but...

Am I just being anal or is there anything to worry about?

How easy is it to fix this?

Should I have this?

The little hole is on the side leading to the heater hose. Any thing to worry about?

Sorry about all the pics but I figure you metal workers will chime in and tell me if they are fine or not.
Thanks mucho!

My thought is darn near 900.00$ they better be primo,.......However it appears to be cosmetic.. See a welder and have him clean them up if it bothers you.

If those were on sale and were sold as "blems", I wouldn't mind at all, but I don't think they were. Call PelicanParts and see what they do for you!

Don't get stuck with having to pay extra shipping for the return. Pelican can issue a "call tag".

Thanks for the responses. Pelican had these shippped directly from SSI. I guess the bent tube is from shipping but the other stuff is certainly defects. The other heat exchanger looks flawless so not sure what the deal is. Fortunately I do not need them right away so I guess thats in my favor. I'll call pelican and see what they say.
One thing I wonder is, with some shipping damage (bent tube) is this also the responsibility of the shipper (UPS)?

j.p,
What is a call tag?

Call tag is issued from Pelican/SSI to UPS to pick up the part from the shipping address. All you need to do is get it packaged up nicely and taped up. I would add a label, but they should bring this with them in either case to attach to box. This way, your not out much time, hassle or shipping cost to send her back.

Going through Pelican probably give you more leverage with SSI then calling them directly. They would rather have one customer upset than upset a vendor. Just .02 of thought...you could call them after/if Pelican can't resolve the issue easily.

Good luck, but since SSI brags heavily on their quality I wouldn't think this is a problem.
