Recalled Kidde Fire Extinguishers

This may be important if you have a Kidde fire extinguisher. Check the model number(s) against the posted information.

Just submitted mine, they are sending me a new one. Not in the 911, under the kitchen sink.

Here is the link to the Kidde page where you can submit your info and register for a replacement.

Just got my kitchen extinguisher signed up for the recall. Noted that it was originally made in 1980. The Kidde.com site is pretty busy, but try at night and you should get on without any problem. Just have the extinguisher with you as you need to input various numbers off the extinguisher to get a replacement.

Luckily my car’s extinguishers are Halon gas with metal valves.
