KW suspension for 74-89 911

I see KW is now offering options for us. i'm curious who has used it and your thoughts? Does anyone know if the pricing in the link is per shock or is that for a set of 4 shocks? I hope its for the set of 4!

Hi Chris - the kits that they offer include all components. The V3s are an amazing setup for those that want maximum street/track performance - this is essentially a kit that is as close to being a full racing setup without going to the Clubsport option. I've been in a few cars that have the V3s and the handling is beyond incredible - the ride is quite stiff but not to the point where you get tired of it (IMO). The Clubsports, from what I've heard, are not too pleasant for everyday driving and are designed for a dedicated track car. Please let us know if you have any other questions and we'll be happy to assist.

I have the V3 Damper setup in my 89 3.2 and love it. Coming from Bilstein HD's, these are a very nice upgrade. This kit allows you to keep the torsion bar setup and adds adjustability on the shocks so you can run it as soft or as stiff as you'd like. Not cheap but a great upgrade.

Great timing on this post, I was going to ask for feedback as well. My car is lowered to below euro spec and I was looking into getting raised spindles. I found out that you can get these KW coilovers with 19mm raised spindles under part# 35271064.

To raise the spindles on my stock Boge's I would have to spend around $800. I have had KW coilovers in previous "newer" car and I have always been impressed. Very tempted to pull the trigger on these.

Not discouraging from the KW. I have not ridden in a car with one.
But another option if your looking for a performance strut with street manners is Steve Wiener @ Rensport Systems in OR. His custom valving of the RSR fronts is really, really, good!

Totally different car but I had KW V3s on a B6 Audi S4 and they were very, very good.

Curious, I have a M491 optioned Carrera. Factory wide-body with Turbo flares and suspension.

Will the V-3 dampers fit this iteration? I don't see it listed in the detail.

Thanks,

Scott

Hey Dmitry, why aren't KW options showing up in your online store, I see them at this link, but when select my car and click the link there is nothing there.

I get this:

That might be because that page you linked to is for coil overs. As you know, factory fitment for cars 89 and earlier don't use coil springs. That's just my guess...

But you're correct in that they don't seem to list the V3 strut and damper packages for the torsion bar cars.

KW Coilover Suspensions - Pelican Parts

I get this:

No Parts Found! - Pelican Parts
Hey Chris - really glad that you brought this up; we actually did not have that specific one in our catalog because the V3s for pre 89' are new in KWs catalog. I'm having the one that fits your 75' added to the catalog now - as soon as I get a confirmation that it's been added, I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks!
