Hand Brake light is flashing ?
Hello All,
i have a small problem after to removed all gauge in my 911 1971, my hand brake light is flashing all the time... maybe i have the wong wire on it ... i check the switch on the level and it work good if some one want to check for me, what is the color wire on the light on the gauge ? help will be apreciate ! Thank You

it might indicate a problem in the master cylinder. not sure. the wiring diagrams on pp might help. the switches and gage is on the 2nd page on 71 models. looks like a brown wire with a yellow stripe. there are multiple connections, but my vision goes away when i look at the online diagrams.

Tryan, i have no wire to the master cylinder...
i am not sure about what is the good wire on the light... i toke note about it but i think i have make a mistake about wire ground... Thank You

the diagram is here
look at item 38 and 40 . from the listing it looks like a usa thing. ralph nader at work. pull the handbrake(brown/yellow stripe) wire off at the dash and see if it still flashes. if it does not the short is in that wire. if she still flashes, follow the other wires on the diagram.

When i disconect the brown/yellow wire the stop flashing...

if you are disconnecting it at the dash and it stops flashing , the short/pinch is in that wire to ground or a bad switch.
if you are disconnecting it at the brake , its a bad handbrake switch.
