Crank Rods / Alignment

I still haven't taken apart my crankshaft yet, so all the rods are still on it. I took a look at it tonight and noticed something odd. I'm not sure if it matters but does it matter which way the rods go on (ex. all the 911... id numbers facing the same direction). I ask this because all my rods face the same way except one in the middle. Just thought I would find out?

No, it doesn't matter - you can place them in either orientation. On the VW motors, you want to line up the numbers, but this is not necessary on the 911 engines (I confirmed this two months ago with Jerry Woods)...
