Front bonnet problem

I have particularly interesting problem.
When I pull the handle to open the bonnet I can feel moves but he bonnet doesn't pop.
If someone is lifting the bonnet while I pull the handle it opens fine.
I tried to play with the cable but no luck.
What's the trick on getting the bonnet to pop when I pull he handle?

Thank you.

Your lack of a signature doesn’t tell us what year car. Either you need a signature or you will need to post it with every question.

To me it sounds like your latch is not fully disengaging. you can see where the cable meets the latch. Take some needle nose vice grips and securely grab the end of the cable. Then loosen the adjustment screw the cable goes through. Using your vice grips pull the cable about an eight of an inch and retighten screw. Repeat until it opens without assistance

Hi..you have to adjust these two rubber stops.Just unscrew it a little so the hood has some back pressure ..this should do the trick, plus lubricate the latch

are the two shocks ok? do you feel springload when lifting the bonnet and deas it stay up strong?

if not, check the shocks. even one worn of the two the bonnets weight will not get liftet.

also clean and regrease the latch mechanism for free movement.

Thank you everyone.
Shocks are gone and waiting for new.
I will do as suggested on the cable and the rubber stops.

Also, off I go to fix my signature which I thought I did.
Thank you.

Adjust your latch.
