Body Kit

Love the look of his body kits.

Anybody know of anyone that has purchased one?

What's the quality?

Love the look of my car stock but I am thinking about the Red Kit or the Turbo 2 kit.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Click on 911 link upper left.

Check out the 928 kits, some nice ones there.

I think the body kits you mentioned above look like tasteful C2 updates. I say do it and loose weight in the process. I don't know about the quality of his kits in particular...

If you like the red kit I would say buy used C2 front and rear bumpers get new lights all round and have them painted and fit them yourself.......the brackets can easily be fabricated with a little imagination and patience . You then have quality parts and lose weight . Also buy new C2 side skirts they are surprisingly 'cheap' if you like add a wing of your choice and maybe a splitter too .

Scott,

I did the similar update to my car pictured below. I also did the work myself but in hindsight I highly recommend you have a professional do the install. I purchase my kit from http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com and was pleased with the quality. The only problem that I had using the rocker panels that I did were that they cover the torsion bars by not allowing them to be removed or upgraded. Yes there is a hole in the kit near the area of the torsion bar but in no way is it lined up or curved for a torsion bar removal. It really is more of an air duct. If I were to do it over again I would just purchase standard C2 rockers which would enable you to still access the torsion bars. Hope this helps you make a decision.

very nice smestas, that front bumper looks like a copy of a Strosek design with that lower air intake.

Schuey,

Off the top of my head I'd say I spent around 2,300 for the following.
  • front fiberglass bumper
  • rear fiberglass bumper
  • side fiberglass rocker panels
  • all C2 lighting and small bummperets for front
  • fabricated metal front and rear replacement bumpers (under fiberglass)
  • fabricated metal rear tail light and center reflector mounts (needed to be welded in and some cutting of the car involved)
  • all this and no directions

Yes it was the SKN kit but they used to sell it with a regular C2 rear bumper. The one they have on the site now looks similar but is more stubby than a regular C2 bummper.
