Well, I heard about NCT (noice cancellation technology) a few years back as a member of the IEEE (I'm a degreed electrical engineer). Anyway, a yahoo search popped up a link that looks promising. I just talked to the guy through the contact number on the web site for Micron Exhuast . For about $500 they will custom design a "muffler" cannister with the ShockWaver canceller that will drop your noise output by about 10dB. |

On the Euro Premuffler, I just purchased one from Huntley Racing for $220. It is a very nice stainless steel unit. I removed the Bursch muffler I had in place and went back to the OEM muffler. This combo was quieter than the Bursch muffler and gained me 9.5 HP at the crank (8 at the wheels). I did dyno test before and after just for fun. I really like the sound of this combo - a little louder than stock from the outside, but very nice and pure sounding from the inside. |

ZCat3, What kind of car? Was you OEM Muff a performance one? Thanks |

This is on an 87 Carrera. I went from the Bursch back to the stock OEM muffler. I am thinking about also cutting a seconf hole and welding in a second outlet, but am very happy with the Euro pre-muffler / OEM exhaust combo for the moment. |

I've heard the same thing about Bursch - that they actually rob power. They must not do much R&D, eh? The things rust too. |
