Fuchs refinishing recommendations...

I am considering sending my wheels off and have them refinished. I would like to have a recommendation for the service. If anyone has done this:

Who did you use and how was their service? Would you use them again?

I want the original/reanodized look - black painted centers with satin/matte like aluminum edges so I am real interested in what you have to say if you chose this finish.

How has your refinnish job held up? .....you know, anything you can add.

Finally, I live in GA so I would like a recommendation in Atlanta if anyone knows of one.

Thanks for the help!

Eddie, You can do a search and find out how to do them yourself if you are so inclined. Otherwise Al Reed in California seems to come highly praised. Would suggest breaking down the wheels locally and shipping them. Several from Ga have used Al. His number can also be found via the search engine. Good Luck...

Eddie, I live in Atlanta and considered having my Fuchs refurbished. A couple people in the PCA suggested Wheel Wizzards on Buford Hwy. I have not checked them out yet. Otherwise it's probably a shipment to California as there are a couple places out there from what I have read on the board.

I have two words of advice when it comes to finishing Fuchs wheels:

AL REED!

His quality is absolutely first rate. People ship him wheels from all over the country. He just did a set of 7s and 8s for me, and had previously done a set of 6s and 7s. He's a great guy, too, and his prices can't be beat (even if you have to ship the wheels from across the country).

If you send him your wheels you will not be disappointed in the result.

Good luck!

Scott

Thanks for the information. AL REED seems to be the hands down best bet. Thanks again to all.
