Looking for directional relay on 1972 911
Hi,
My directionals stopped working on my 1972 911. I am trying to find the relay to see if its the problem, but cannot find it. Please let me know where to look. Thanks, David |

If you open the frunk and facing front to back, look past the RIGHT side hood shock...lots of wiring and harnesses in that area and you should see both a short round relay and a tall rectangular one...I am confident it is one or the other. Not run to reach in there is you have the original square fuel vapor canister and hoses in place.

I only have one round plastic relay in that location or at least what I can see. Its a 5 prong, part #911.615.109.01. This is a general relay. Could this be the one? The specific directional relay is listed as a 3 prong and has a different part number listed on a Porsche parts schematic.

Pull the fuel fill gauge. directional relay right behind it. black rectangular.

 This is the flasher/turn signal relay in my 73. It is a 3 prong. The tubing beside it is connected to the vapor canister mentioned above. |

I popped out the 2 left most gauges and had good access. 1 hole for my hand, the 2nd for flashlight
