As all my attempts to get the broken stud removed i have finally found a place that could remove it with EDM.
I need to remove these two bolts in order for them to place the case horisontally but i wonder if the circled part will stay or not ?? Is the bolt attached to this or what, i.e how can i get the case all flat ?? ![]() This is the root of all evil ![]() ![]() That is now filled with an Snap on remover.... ![]() |

those sleeves are not attached to the stud. they can be twisted out with small visegrips.

use a little heat on the case local to the area of the shuffle pin, then like JW suggests, vise grips. Should come out easy. Good luck

Great, btw are the bolts hard to get out ?? Do I need to apply heat to "melt" any Loctite etc ?? Will get nuts for them tomorrow as they have different threads than the head studs.

Yes, you need to use heat. Real heat. Propane will not do it. It needs about 30 seconds of oxy-acetylene heat. Carefully, you'll feel it loosen up. John is saying that those rings at the base come off very easy. Probably with your finger. Certainly with a pair of pliers.
