So this guy calls to buy my car and...

So this guy from New Jersey calls very interested in buying my 86 turbo...

I spoke to him for maybe 30 minutes. He was very interested. He was asking why I was selling, so I told him the truth, I wanted to upgrade to a 91-92 C2 Turbo. He say's he just called on one and was waiting for a call back, well he found the one I was looking at in Texas. He bought the freaking thing for 32K!!!! OMG I am really happy for this guy but on the other hand, I am a little pissed, I think I talked myself out of a sale and out of a C2 for 32k.. Please feel free to call me all the names you want. I feel like such and idiot.....

Honesty is the best policy...the day will come you'll have the cash from the sale of your '86 in pocket...then you can really have some clout when searching for the car you want. It'll work out. Just hang in there...

You skrewed up, but if it makes you feel any better, you'll find another turbo and it probably wasn't your color anyway
Just kidding, honesty is and will always be the best way to go...especially with a fellow car enthusiast.

I must be missing something?

so a guy calls you asking about your car, and mentions he is waiting for a call back on a newer C2 turbo.... obviously he got the call back and took the other guy up on the sale.

Why be upset? no sugar coating here...@#*^ happens

75 CaB - - Asking ALOT 32k Overprived but mechanically perfect car....

Tim T, The guy was looking for a early year and I was talking how much better I think the 91-92 was... I think I just talked him out of mine and he got lucky on the one in Texas.

I told him about Pelican and he said he would join in, at least I got another person on this BBS..

Lee - - I know, I know, that is why the price is set at 32, not sure I can give here up that easy...

Hi RJ,

So here's an ad from the PCA Golden Gate Region (San Francisco). I talked to the seller a few weeks ago, and it was still for sale. If I didn't already have an '86 930, I might be interested in the car myself -- too many toys!

Hey it happens - Move on - a better car awaits you - just bide your time - Oh and don't talk someone into a new car until after you sell yours!
