Adapting 2.4T cylinder heads for a conversion to a 2.7s engine

Hi,
Please can anyone give me advice about what changes need to be made to a set of 2.4t cylinder heads to make them work on my conversion to a 2.7S engine.
Starting originally from a 2.4T engine, my components are:
90mm mahle NOS cylinders
90mm J&E 10.5:1 pistons (running on high octane U.K. fuel).
2.4T crank
S cams
2.4T cylinder heads ported to 36mm so far
Original Bosch 2.4T distributor
Zenith carbs with 34mm venturis, 145 main jets, 60 idle, 185 air correction jets.

Also, should I be looking to replace the distributor with a 2.7S distributor.
Finally, any advice on the spec of the fuel pump. It's got something non original on there, but I'm wondering whether it's going to deliver enough fuel for this build combo.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob.

Hi Rob,

As part of the regular valve job, the squish bands in the chambers should be opened up to match your 90mm pistons.

Your distributor, assuming its not worn out, can be recurved to suit.

Regarding the fuel pump,......

If you have the low-pressure Bosch pump used on carbureted engines, that will work just perfect. The CIS pump can be used if you have a PMO fuel pressure regulator. A Pierbug low-pressure pump works very nicely, too.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the advice. Do you know where I can find the spec for recurving the distributor?
Cheers,
Rob

Though the valves are the same for '72-73 T, E, S or RS the ports are not
T uses 32/32mm ports all the rest have 36/35mm

if you retain 32//32 the engine will be torquier down low but not as potent up at the top
