Backdate Chicago / Wisconsin?
Considering back-dating my SC. My car has great paint and I'd like a quality shop with experience of doing this before without wasting hours learning.
Any recommendations in Chicago or Wisconsin? Thanks |

Thank you. I'm happy to pay for quality work. It's always about value for me. I will call your recommendations and talk to them. Appreciate your inputs!

I had minor body repair done at Merton Auto Body, a little NW of Milwaukee. They did great work for my 911 SC Targa. They've also done some work for a friend's track 911 to modify the body and repait.

Kelly Moss Racing in Madison has a body shop/paint dept and is looking for more street car work. Beyond being a Porsche factory supported race team, the cars they've done are next level. Milwaukee PCA toured the facility last year and I saw them finishing up a safari build, a RSR, 914-6 hotrod and a Polo motored 356 outlaw.
Accumoto on the north side of Madison does incredible stuff too but I think they are more focused on full restoration/turn key cars, keeping the impact bumper short hood look. Either way both facilities are worth the trip to check out. |

Oh and don't be surprised when you got to his shop, it's in an industrial complex in Waunakee, north side of Madison. He runs 2 business from there- Accumoto and Duraform which manufactures concrete forming systems. Though recently the Accumoto business has been taking more and more space in the large building.

One of these days I need to get the front pan replaced, have the parts, but since the rust doesn't seem to be growing(yeah right) I keep driving it. Its interesting that there really arnt any body shops in Chicago that want to take on this job, you would think that with a city this big that there would be a few.
