Hereís my solution to keeping mice out of the cooling area. They are bales of 00 steel wool. I later covered the oval holes with blue painters tape. I donít think the tape will actually keep them out but I will at least have an indicator that theyíve gotten in. Used the tape over the air filter intake too.

All this mouse talk jinxed me.......

I happened to be standing by the upstairs basement door, which was cracked open, sending my brother a message . And out from the door opening pops a little bandit who just stares at me

Are you kidding me??? No you diínt just step to me....... OH YEAH ITíS ON, RODENT VERMIN!!!!

So to respond with a quick assault I put a tried and true traditional snap trap (with a blob of tomcat brand green attracting goop) at the top of the basement stairs, bottom of the stairs, in my workshop room and in a toy closet. An hour later I check the battlefield and find this guy taking a permanent nap in my workshop

Love this thread and the gladiatorial nature of Man vs Beast. Need to go check my Green Mile trap line. Later today, since it is relatively warm at 13, drop some additional peppermint oil soaked cotton balls in and around the 911.

Congrats! As my brother in law says, "You got THE mouse!"

You might not want to retire that trap just yet... 😁

Yah that trap was returned to inventory for future use!

Worry not my friends, I got him to stay asleep. See, the fun bar gave him a nice quick massage right where the neck meets the shoulders. Just what a stressed out, hard working mouse needs to relax after a hard day of work trying to wreck my house

A rat took the cheese

They send in their mouse underlings to disarm the traps...

Lawyers???

When it is ďdoneĒ, the lawyers will come in, prodigiously befoul the deceased, then strip the bodies.
Not a pretty sight.
Good luck with the eradication.

The "food" is just some dark green goop that attracts them. You can see a bit of it on the trap trigger and under his paw. Must be a smell thing, although it's not at all smelly to my sensitive susan nose.

It's this stuff and I got it at Home Depot

I encountered just such a gruesome scene the other night. A reminder I need to inspect the traps in the attic more often. A paper towel was required to separate Mickey's remains from the insulation, gross. (sorry no pics)

I'd rather clean up mouse remains than the big giant pee pee spots I found on my insulation a few weeks ago..........

I don't bury em, I just flush them to a burial at sea. If it is good enough for a fish, it is good enough for a mouse. One press of the toilet handle, by by Mr. mouse.

I just threw it in the garbage. If it was alive it would enjoy being in there? So no reason not to put it there when it's dead.
