Front suspension swap on an SC?

I posted a thread earlier about putting my 2.7L into a 78 SC. Well I went and looked at the car last night. It is in fairly good shape. No rust or crash damage and an interesting original color of Lindgrun. It looks as if the car was robbed of parts for a 914 build. I say this because the seller related that the guy he got it from was a 914 guy. So the car is a roller but it looks to have a complete 914 front suspension swapped in presumably just to move it around. The car that I am using the 2.7 from (a 74) still has the front suspension. Is this also swap able to the SC chassis or am I looking at buying a complete SC front end? Did the SC have the aluminum cross member and would the steel one from a mid year retro fit? Anyone selling a complete SC suspension or parting one out?

Thanks, Andy

I'm quite sure all your '74 parts are swappable.

SC/Carrera front ends are fully swappable to earlier 911s. The main difference may be brake calipers/rotors. Thus, also reversible.
