Wheel stands/winter storage
I have a 911 sc targa. Am I doing damage to my suspension by keeping the tires on while being on jack stands?

As long as the car is on its proper jack points, there shouldn't be any damage done.

porsche technical bulletin states that a car should not be on jack stands as this will allow the exposed area of the shocks to rust. And six cylinder engines should be in 2nd or 4th gear..

Originally I was thinking 1st or 3rd so, similar to the comment on shock shafts rusting, the shift rod is pushed into the transmission instead of exposed.

I’m confused as well lol. The main reason for my post was to see if the weight of the wheels being on would cause damage to the suspension
