Chicago area pelicanheads?
will be in Chicago this weekend.
any recommendations for places/showrooms/dealers to see nice cars? older porsches, MB's, ferraris, alfa's, etc.. thanks, Maurice '80 SC |

-Lynch (on Irving Park) has a good selection of new, but less than a half dozen pre-996. -The place on Skokie Valley/Hwy 41 in Highland Park is opening the new Porsche building supposedly this weekend, but they also only have a half dozen (max) pre-996 -I've been wanting to check out Rizza and Motorwerks of Barrington, but I don't know what they have. -The place downtown at around 800 N. Clark/Dearborn (roughly) stocks very few used Porsches but has the occasional Ferrari, etc. Let me know what you find!

Go to the Chivago auto show and see a Turbo pepper.....also stop by Midwest eurosport, plenty of eye candy or Napleton on Ogden, where they had a '69t with a 3.0 new paint,interior that may be for sale soon. BTW the Turbo Cyanne is priced around 98K

On Ogden avenue in Westmont is Contential Motors. They are just west of 294 tollway on Ogden. They always have a good selection of Ferrari's and usually a Lotus or two. Then continue west on Ogden and you will hit Napelton Prosche. They are on the south side of Ogden same as Contential. Then keep going west to Odgen and Fairview to Luxury Motors. They have an ecletic selection of cars there. Finally, since you will be so close to my house you can wrench on my car. I do not know of any PCA events this weekend.

About 30 miles North of Downtown Chicago you'll find Lake Forest Sports Cars (780 Western Ave., Lake Forest, 888-839-9057) New and used Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin and more.
Very easy to get yourself into serious trouble quickly.
