Repair shop tampa lakeland florida area? 85 carrera

Very nice 85 carrera that I have let sit too long- about 2yrs.
I am looking for a reliable shop.
I have used Eibell in clearwater in the past- but that was probably 10-15 years ago.
Any recommendations for a good shop that knows the older aircooled cars?
I think the fuel injectors are shot- but I do not have the will to fix it myself this time.
Thanks
Gary

Go see European Performance; I only let one shop work on my '80 SC - head over the bay to St.Pete. Without question, I've never had better, more ethical, honest and superb professional service. (They also take care of my E55 AMG.)
They are not a small one or two man shop - they have more than a dozen bays and a dedicated engine/transmission re-build room.
Mickey, Mickey, Jr. and Josh know air cooled Porsches - they have an expertise with air cooled 911's that most Porsche dealers no longer have.
I too, live in Lakeland and gladly make the drive. (I have the "super-duper" AAA plan and if needed, I can get a freebie tow over.)
Give 'em a call (727) 894-6124 and get your baby over there.
You won't be disappointed.

Bill

Gary, Bill's correct in I've heard good things about European Performance. Also Dave white Jr is now with Chilly Performance in Tampa. Used him and his dad before his dad's passing. Mike Bruns is another good wrench but not sure where he is now. Use to be in Orlando but heard he might be in Tampa. Think I would start with Bill's recommendation first. Sounds confident in there professionalism.

Thanks all.
I used Mike Bruns for years- he rebuilt the engine and tranny over the years. I have not heard his name for years. Dave White is another old name- knew the father.
I will look around for Mike and give euro performance a call on Monday.
Thanks for the guidance
Gary

Shop

Hi Gary, I am working in Tampa at ALL Crane Rental, I still build 911 engines selectively and take care of our race car at my shop in Lakeland, I would contact Mickey for what you need, I have worked with them and they will take good care of you.

Thumb's Up for European Performance in St. Pete. Bill said it best.
BTW, Frank Eibell retired this past summer.

Should also consider Leo Leal at German Specialties in Oldsmar (813) 818-0993. He has worked on both my 964 and 912 over the last several years, very knowledgeable and very reasonable pricing.

Mike, great to hear from you again. A real voice from the past.
Yes, this is the same car you directed me to back in the 1990's.
Still run great- with life changes it has sat for a couple of years. Time to get her back moving.
Thanks to all for your advice and input. I will give Mickey a call next week.

I second the Leo Leal recommendation , I would also suggest Jerry Tuggle owner of Heights Auto Imports in Tampa - 813-443-5353. He has done quite a bit of work for me - he is very knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced, was a great help with the CIS on my 82 SC.

Mike Bruns

Great to see you are still alive and kickin.

That engine you helped me build is still running strong. About 20,000 miles on it now, the car just went over 241,000. I added some stripes to her so it was easier to spot my car when parked with a bunch of other 911's.

Picked up a couple more toys since I retired, 11 ft sail boat, 93 Classic Mini and a 65 Corvette. Maxed out my garage.
