white smoke
Lately my 88 930 emits a puff of white smoke when i floor it. This only happens when the turbo kicks in. The car burns no oil (Mobil 1). It has 46,000 miles, additional injector, larger B&B intercooler, B&B muffler. An aftermarket tubo was installed by the previous owner when the car had about 18,000 miles on it. My last tune up/leak down test showed vales of 96 or 97 for all cylinders. Could my turbo be going bad (leaking oil) or do i have another more serious problem? Can turbos be rebuilt? If the turbo needs to be replaced, what do you recommend? (I would prefer quicker response rather than greater top end.)
As always, thanks for your help!! |

It's been a while for me, but I do recall my Saab doing exactly that as the seals between the two sides went out... Did not affect performance, but became a mosquito killer quiclky. It will be bad for your Cat also if it's still on there...
